I'm Bill Heinrich. I have over 20 years of experience working as a design director, art director, graphic designer, and interactive designer and developer.
I think "great" design means effective design. Effective design accomplishes a client's goals. It makes the ad campaign click. It can turn a website visitor into a website customer. Effective, compelling and original design helps connect people with the information they need.
Where do I fit in? I design websites that deliver focused and satisfying user experiences. I create ad campaigns, brochures, direct mail pieces and other materials that help my clients communicate with clarity, purpose and impact. I design logos and corporate identities that help build brands, send the right message, and set my clients apart from their competition.
In addition to my design work, my responsibilities as a design director and senior art director have given me the experience neccessary to lead, manage and mentor creative teams.

I love to design and build things. I also like being part of a team.
I believe that the ability to create must be accompanied by the ability to manage and implement. I meet deadlines and get the most out of the resources at hand. I believe in the value of simplicity, and I know how to listen.
I have the mentoring skills, strategic ability and project management experience it takes to be an effective design leader. That said, I still enjoy tackling projects myself and taking things from concept through to completion. Going from a "blank piece of paper" to the finished product — something a client can use to achieve their goals — is extremely rewarding.
I like to approach projects by defining not just project specifications and scope but by working with clients to determine project goals and success criteria. This has helped me consistently provide clients with work that gets results.
